The Air Force Assistance Fund (AFAF) consists of 4 charities: Air Force Aid Society, General and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation, the Air Force Village and the Air Force Enlisted Village. These charities assist Airmen, Guardians and their family members with emergency assistance, educational scholarships, base/community programs, in-home care for surviving spouses of our retirees and providing a home to those surviving spouses who otherwise could not afford housing.

I myself have been personally helped by the AFAF.  When my 10 month old son needed medical care that was not covered by medical insurance, the Air Force Aid Society was there for me.  Not only did they pay a $2,000 medical bill, the payment was provided as a grant, which I did not have to pay back.

I am not alone, there are tens of thousands of Airmen, Guardians and their families that have been helped by the AFAF.  Learn more about it at

.

Just a few dollars a month will ensure your fellow Airmen and Guardians will have the assistance they need when they need it most.  And, you never know, you may just find in the future that you have “paid it forward”, and our AFAF charities will be there for you should you need them.  I know they were there for me and my family.
