Tomorrow our Nation commemorates Veterans Day. Currently, there are over 19 million men and women who have served our Nation in uniform. We are continually grateful for their service and sacrifice.
Reserve Citizen Airmen have been involved in every major operation from the Korean War to Operation Allies Refuge, passing on a legacy of service spanning over seven decades. Our accomplishments during Operation Allies Refuge are nothing short of incredible. Within 24 hours of receiving notice, Reserve Citizen Airmen flew into Afghanistan to evacuate American citizens and our Afghan partners. Even today, we stand ready to provide care for evacuees at locations across the world. Your enduring contributions are a continuation in our legacy of service.
As we reflect upon our history, we are grateful for the service of each of our veterans and wish you a happy Veterans Day.
