The 356th Airlift Squadron is the Air Force Reserve's only Formal Training Unit which provides initial and advance C-5 flight qualifications for Air Mobility Command, the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command aircrews. Over 70 selectively manned aircrew instructors train and produce up to 500 aircrew members in nine different curricula for pilots, load masters and engineers. It also provides airlift support for peacetime, contingency and humanitarian operations.
